Getting started as a Product Manager
You work in the Backoffice, the second group in the menu, mostly under PIM and Pricing. PIM stands for product information management. You add products, set their prices, put them in categories and group variants.
Your first day
Take these steps in order.
- Sign in to Propeller and find your way around the menu and the top bar.
- Find a product in the Products & Clusters list.
- Create and edit a product.
- Set the prices of a product and check what one customer pays.
- Manage categories and put products in a category.
- Group variants in a cluster, for example sizes or colours of one product.
- Hide or delete a product.
When you need them
- Set stock and availability: when a product can be ordered.
- Data Import: add or change many products or prices from a file.
- Attributes and Value Sets: your own fields on a product, such as a material or a size.
- Tax Rates and Surcharges: VAT per country and extra fees such as a recycling fee.
