Getting started as a Marketing Manager
You work in the Backoffice, the second group in the menu, mostly under PIM and Shops & Channels. You look after what customers read and see about a product, the promotions you run and the emails they receive.
Your first day
Take these steps in order.
- Sign in to Propeller and find your way around the menu and the top bar. Read the part about the data language, because it decides in which language your texts are saved.
- Find a product in the Products & Clusters list.
- Edit its texts, images, videos and documents.
- Show accessories and alternatives with a product.
- Edit the name and description of a category.
- Set up a promotion with an incentive rule. The examples show a volume discount or a free product and a discount code.
When you need them
- Templates: the emails and PDFs customers receive. You can change the subject and the sender yourself. The layout is written in HTML, so plan that part with a technical colleague.
- Attributes: the specifications shown with a product and the filters in the catalogue.
- Hide or delete a product: take a product out of the webshop.
Stuck on a task?
- I want to… lists everyday tasks and the page that answers each one.
- The Glossary explains the words you meet along the way.
