Set shipping costs

A shipping cost rule decides what a customer pays for shipping, for example free above a certain order value and a fixed amount per country below it.

Before you begin​

  • You need Backoffice access and the Configuration role. To create or delete a rule you need Owner access.
  • Which carriers a customer can pick is set by another rule, on the Carriers page.

Read the rule of the example​

Go to Shops & Channels > Shipping Costs and click the rule.

The switch stands on first, so the first subrule that is true decides. An order of € 800 to Belgium ships free. An order of € 300 to Belgium costs 24.95.

Change the shipping costs​

  1. Open the rule and click a subrule to open it.
  2. Change the value in the condition or the Price under THEN. A price excludes VAT.
  3. To add a step, click Add subrule and drag it to its place in the list.
  4. Click Save.

The new costs count from the moment you save. Keep a last subrule that is true for every order, so no order is left without a shipping cost.
